FAQ- Frequently asked questions
What is SammyBammy? SammyBammy is an independent art and apparel brand founded by me, Samira, a NYC-based visual artist. Every piece comes from a real place. Original paintings, mixed media, and wearable art rooted in Black identity, culture, and the city that made me. Nothing is mass-produced. Nothing is filler.
How does the presale work? I drop pieces before they're in hand. When you buy on presale, you're securing your piece before it's gone, because once it's gone, it's gone. Presale windows are announced on Instagram first. Payment is collected upfront, and production begins once the window closes. You'll get updates along the way.
How long does presale take to fulfill? Depends on the drop. Each listing will clearly state the estimated fulfillment timeline before you purchase. I don't rush the work, but I always communicate.
Are original paintings available? Yes. Original works are 1 of 1. No reprints, no duplicates. When it sells, that's it. Some originals are available through presale, others drop without warning. Follow on Instagram to catch them first.
Do you do commissions? Sometimes. Reach out directly through the contact page and tell me what you're thinking. I'm selective — I only take on work that actually excites me.
Can I return or exchange my order? Due to the nature of presale and original art, all sales are final. If something arrives damaged, contact me directly, and we'll figure it out.
How do I stay up to date on drops? Instagram is where everything happens first. I'm active on both my personal account and the SammyBammy page — follow both and turn on post notifications so you don't miss a drop. That's where announcements, behind the scenes, and new work lives begin before they go anywhere else. And for the most exclusive access, subscribe to the Designed by Samira Issa community — that's where the real insiders are.
Do you collaborate with brands or creatives? Yes — the right ones. If you're building something culture-forward and want to connect, reach out through the contact page. I'm open to editorial features, creative partnerships, and collab projects that actually mean something.
